What is the Chessto Week Championship?

The Chessto Week Championship is an online competition for schools and families where the points earned by the children in the chess tournaments in Chessity count. As soon as one of your students/children participates in a chess tournament in the Arena, your school/family is included in the ranking. Every week, a new competition starts on Monday. After the last tournament on Sunday evening, the final standings of that week are compiled.

On the Statistics tab, you can see where your school/family stands in the interim ranking of the current week and which children have played into the team. The children see this on their start screen:

How often do you get the chance as a family to achieve something together as a team? In the Chessity weekly competition, you can do that every week. The whole family competes together against other families, with each family member contributing to the family's success.

At schools, the chess competition helps to create a lively chess culture. It promotes group formation and mutual connection among students in a playful and sporty way. The school competition is a real team effort, to which all students - across groups - can contribute and share in successes. At many schools, participating in the tournaments is also a fixed part of the chess lessons.
