Participating in a tournament is very simple:
Go to 'play':

- You will be automatically assigned
- You can also start later or stop earlier, and you can even take a break
- You can also just watch
- After half an hour, the tournament ends and you immediately see who won
If you participate in a tournament, you enter the tournament arena.

When the tournament is over, the 'award ceremony' follows immediately. You will also see the standings in the Chessto Week Championship. This is an online school competition where the points earned by the students in the tournaments count. As soon as one of your students participates in a chess tournament in the Arena, your school is included in the ranking. Every week, a new competition starts on Monday. After the last tournament on Friday, the final standings of that week are compiled.
On your homepage, you can see where your school stands in the interim ranking of the current week and which children have played into the team. The students also see this on their start screen:
The chess competition between schools contributes to a lively chess culture at school and promotes group formation and mutual connection among students in a playful and sporty way. The school competition is a real team effort, to which all students - across groups - can contribute and share in successes. At many schools, participating in the tournaments is also a fixed part of the chess lessons. Is your school already participating?
