My student can already play chess well. Can they start at a higher level?
Yes, they can! When students create their account, they are asked how they want to start. Here they can indicate whether they already have some chess experience or if they just want to start learning by playing. Students who indicate they have chess experience first take a short test with some chess positions where they can try to find the best move. If they successfully answer these questions, they can skip the first lessons! This way, a student might just start at the white-rook level.
Tip: children often overestimate their own level. They then start with lessons that are too difficult, leading to frustration. Therefore, for most students, it is wise to simply start at the beginning by choosing the left option on the start screen.
