Frequently asked questions
How do I create accounts for my students?
If you have purchased accounts for your students, you need to set up a student account for each student individually.
Click on Manage accounts in the blue menu on the left. You will now enter the dashboard where you create accounts for your students and adjust settings. If you haven't created any student accounts yet, the list will still be empty.
In the top left, you can see how many accounts you have in stock. In this example, there are 99 accounts in stock. To create an account for a student, click on Add a new student.

Note: do the buttons appear grey? That’s because all teams are selected. You can only add students to a specific team. Select the team you want to add the student to from the menu bar at the top. The buttons will then become active. Click on Add a new student.

A pop-up will appear where you can enter the student's details.

All fields marked with an asterisk must be filled in. The others can be left blank.
The email address field is not mandatory, but it is useful. The student will receive notifications from you and the program via email. An email address can only be used once within Chessity. So you cannot register multiple children with one email address. If the email address is already in use for another family member, you can also leave this field blank.
Do you still want to use an existing email address? Read here what options are available to do this.
It is wise to use a logical system for creating usernames that is easy to remember. For example, the child's first name, preceded by a standard addition per school.
It may seem convenient to include the group in the username, but it's better not to do this. Next school year, the groups will be different again.
Make sure to enter the student's name correctly, as this name will also be printed on the diploma.
After the new student account is created, the user can be found in your student overview. Here you can also set which usage options you want to activate or deactivate for this student.
