A pawn fork is a double attack executed by a pawn. Despite their limited mobility, pawns can threaten two pieces simultaneously in certain situations. Because pawns are low in value, a pawn fork is a powerful weapon. By forcing a trade, you can exchange the pawn for a much more valuable piece.
