Luring and pinning

That a pin is a powerful weapon, you know by now. A pin can by itself lead to material gain. In the coming lessons, we will pay attention to preparatory moves in combination with pins. You must first do something clever before you can set up a pin.

As you know, a pin involves three things:

1.The attacker (the piece that exerts the pin)
2. the piece in front that is being attacked
3. the piece or square behind it that is in danger if the piece in front goes away

In this lesson we are going to provoke the opponent into placing a piece in front of another piece so we can pin this piece afterwards. Just look at example 1 how this works.

What do you have to do?

Provoke the opponent into placing two pieces in alignment and subsequently win material with a pin.
