Defense: moving (2)

You want to defend a piece by moving it.
Think twice before you make your move. Did you choose a safe square?

When there are many pieces on the board, you have to be very careful.
The attacking piece is not your only enemy.
If you don’t pay attention to where you’re moving, another piece might capture!

Look at the example.
The rook threatens the knight.
The knight can move to two squares.
Moving to the red square would not be smart.
The pawn is ready to take it.

What do you have to do?
Defend your piece by moving it. Make sure you move to a safe square!
