Getting out of checkWhen a piece is attacked you can often choose how to defend it. The same goes for an attack on the king (check).
You already know how you can get your king out of check. By moving, capturing or blocking. In a game it is up to you to decide what is best.
In example 1, all three methods are good. But that’s not always the case. Just look at example 2. Here, one way to get out of check is clearly the best.
Sometimes, you have no choice. See example 3.
In this lesson, you have to pick the best way to get out of check.
Do you use moving, capturing or blocking?
You have done this before, in one of the Pawn level lessons. But now there are more chessmen on the board.
What do you have to do?
Your king is in check. Play the best move to get out of check.
