My main concern is: how to get better so: A trainingplan might be interesting and infos how to find my weaknesses and how to work on these. Foe example: should i learn pattern ( like pin) or should i work on calculation ( Studies ) or is my board vision bad......

Thanks for your suggestion AoxomoxoA :)
Yes, I am thinking about it as well!

By the way, here are two more comments that we received on our facebook page:

"Game Analysis: the best 2-3 games of the month!" ~ Laur Negru

"Training regimes for DIY Chess Patzers" ~ Patrik Öhagen

Hope to read more suggestions by Chessity users :)

I guess, since the website is billed the way of "Chess improvement" mostly articles about chess improvement are in order.

Articles about thoughtproces, well analysed games (kinda like move by move of Chernev so even us patzers can follow), and about other areas of chess (even psychology) may be handy.

Or somebody with the knowlegde about the rise of chinese chess (both men and women) can make a wonderfull article about it. How they started, what they did to get to this level, ... .

And maybe Erwim L'Ami can explain why his wife Alina did so well a few months ago but now she has become IM does (sadly) so poorly as player in the latest Women Grand Prix. Why does she has such bad streak? How come she doesn't continue her good play and performance like she had not so long ago? What are the reason about this (temporarily) downfall?

Just ideas, I am sure Alina will get back up and surprise us with plenty of wonderfull games. But it would be wonderfull to know how good and hugging Caissa feels at one moment and to curse and distrust the tactics of the same Caissa feels next. :-)

Please make connecting with other members easier. And when there's a computer playing in a game please mark that player as a computer.

Here are two suggestions that I personally received as a mail:
1. "I'm thinking about the input, but honestly apart adding a Guess the Move section, I cannot think of anything else.
Generally is a good exercise to try to guess the next move in a game, I don't know if you ever tried it. And this can be done with software, giving a good statistical feedback to the user."

2. "we should have games like this website but this website is for math.

Hi Arun, I really enjoyed the game analyses with video's that Erwin posted in, for example this post: http://www.chessity.com/blog/319/Magnus_strikes_again_Part_1. I know that improvement generally comes from hard work but inbetween puzzles it is nice to sit back, relax and follow a high quality analysis of a grandmaster game. Also, it is instructive to see how a grandmaster like Erwin judges a position. I would love to see more of that. Best greetings, to you and the other Chessity team members as well. Keep up the good work!

It's great to know that you're trying to find some improvements with your site! The main goal here is to enjoy the game and improve the individual overall chess performance!

Love the site, here are several suggestions:

(1) I would like to see a series of positions about defensive fortresses. Typically the positions would show the player loosing material (or behind in material) but able to fortress a way into a draw. Maybe in a "fortress-of-the-week" BLOG.

(2) I would like to see a separate game with just endgame positions. I also would like to see a quiz game with a series of endgame positions where I have to identify that it is winning for white, drawn, winning for black, mutual zug, etc. I am 50+ so I need more frequent repetition to retain chess knowledge.

(3) For some games, I would like to see purely positional studies (including positional sacs) mixed in with the tactics. Knowing that there may not be an immediate tactic to win material would force me into a thought process more typical of over-the-board play.

(4) In the stats, I would be curious to see "first-attempt stats" separate from the overall.

Thank you!

Hi Arjun,
I am not sure if it's late to comment or not. But my only concern with the site is that it's stil have bugs, most of my students complain that either board freezes and theu unable to move the pieces, or they simply don't see the pointer. I myself had problems with that too. Me and all my students enjoy this site, we just want it to run smoothly.
Thank you so much,
GM Mesgen
